Yesterday I attended the funeral of my beloved uncle Junior. He was one of my Dad's brothers-in-law. A finer man you could never hope to meet, and a tremendous example of how a Christian should live their life. He lived his life with quiet strength, and total devotion to God, and his family. He and my Aunt Julia were married for 54 years, and in all that time never spent more than a day away from each others side. Only their jobs kept them separated, but only then for just a few hours. After the services yesterday, a group of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, and sisters gathered in the church's fellowship hall, and just had a tremendous time celebrating his life and reminiscing over things he taught us. I am so wonderfully blessed to have such a close-knit extended family. Although I may be an only child, I have 15 cousins, and they are as dear to me as if they were my brothers and sisters. Uncle Junior, we will miss you very much, but we'll see you again soon. Thanks for showing us how to live and for showing us how to die with dignity. We love you.
btw I was going through some old photos the other day, and I found this one of my old pal Rusty. A very faithful companion was he, and if there is a heaven for pets, I know I will see him there as well.

okay now you're trying to make me cry. Good ole Rusty. Bless his heart...
I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. (I can't believe you had an 'Uncle Junior')..what are you going to tell me next that your real name is Tony? Anyway, he sounded like an amazing man. It's those quiet men of integrity that really make a positive impact on others isn't it?
I'm anxious to catch up with you again-- it's been a while-- I've been having a HORRIBLE week at work. Never wanted to just walk out and quit so bad in my life. Working again tonight and OT on Saturday.
